Step-by-Step Guide to Power Cycle the Qolsys IQ Panel
Step 1: Disarm the System
- Disarm the System: If your system is armed, disarm it to avoid triggering any alarms during the power cycle process.
Step 2: Power Down the Panel
Access the Settings:
- Tap the "Settings" icon on the home screen of your IQ Panel.
- Enter your installer code (default is usually 1111 or 1234) or master code.
Power Down:
- Navigate to "Advanced Settings".
- Tap on "Power Down".
- Confirm that you want to power down the panel by tapping "OK".
Step 3: Disconnect the Power Source
Unplug the AC Power:
- Locate the power adapter connected to the panel and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
Remove the Battery:
- Open the panel by gently prying it open from the top or sides (follow the instructions specific to your model for safely opening the panel).
- Disconnect the backup battery by pulling out the battery connector.
Step 4: Wait
- Wait for 30 Seconds:
- Leave the panel completely powered off for at least 30 seconds to ensure all residual power is drained.
